About us

"Friends of Moorfields" is a thriving and active charity which has been supporting patients and staff at Moorfields Eye Hospital for over 5 decades.

Through generous donations, fundraisers and community outreach, Friends has raised millions of pounds for Moorfields Eye Hospital. Every donation we receive contributes  funding for new clinical equipment and facilitation refurbishments, both of which improve patient care, comfort for patients, staff and the general public.

A considerable part of the work done for Friends is executed from our wonderful team of volunteers who fulfil a variety of roles for the hospital. There is a team of more than 50 individuals who travel to the main hospital on City Road each week who volunteer their time assisting with the Friends Shop, Information Desks, various clinics, shop trolley service, and in the Friends office. There is also a team of Floor Marshalls who support anyone in need of assistance as well as another brilliant team of 80 volunteers who generously give a few hours of their time collecting at London stations, additionally helping with book, bake, art & jewellery sales at Moorfields.

Friends of Moorfields welcomes anyone who may wish to become a volunteer, donating their time or skill, helping support our wonderful organization.
